Sport & Circulation Program
Vacuum-pressure medical system (VP System) is used to treat
Sport Injuries
Poor Leg Circulation
Fluid Retention Syndrome
and other conditions
which can benefit from improved circulation.
VP System is used to treat the following Sport Injuries:
A lateral ankle sprain - VP System controls oedema and
prevents secondary hypoxic injury; 'control of oedema' should be
the primary objective of early treatment. Cardiovascular condition
is improved during the treatments as well by removing haematoma
fast and efficient.
Anterior cruciate ligament injury as a consequences of knee
injury -VP System is applicable in early post injury phase and pre-surgery
phase with intention of reducing oedema, relieving pain, reducing
haematoma and improving cardiovascular conditions of the join tissue.
Patellae-femoral dysfunction - as consequences of knee injury
or after operation of the knee - VP System reduces swelling and
calms pain. Rehabilitation time for this conditions could go three
times shorter in comparison with classical treatments
Achilles tendon injury - VP System is applicable in early
post injury phase and could eliminate need of surgery at all. Partial
rupture has been completely senate in many cases by only application
of VP therapy during early post injury phase.
Joints injury or post-surgery oedema- significantly reducing
recovery time and pain, and at the same time improving mobility,
stability, range of active and passive motion.
What is meant by "Poor leg circulation?"
Arteries carry oxygen rich blood from the heart to all areas of
the body. Arteries normally have a smooth lining that prevents blood
clotting and promotes optimal blood flow. The artery wall linings
slowly become narrowed and rough, allowing clots to form on the
walls and narrowing the walls. As a result, these arteries eventually
become severely narrowed and/or blocked. Consequently, the organs
supplied (brain, heart, legs) receive inadequate blood flow for
normal function.
What happens during long hours of sitting?
With disturbances in the microcirculation "fluid retention
syndrome" develops in the lower part of the body, firstly on
the ankles. If we are sitting for long periods, without any movement
on the leg muscles, fluid retention will occur. If we are standing
for long periods the situation could be worse. The wall of the veins
becomes overstretched, the blood will stagnate and fluid retention
will occur.
During the treatment with VP System (Vacuum Therapy) you will have
a relaxing experience and in a short period of time you are able
to return to a more active lifestyle. The treatment is totally non-invasive
and painless without side effect, takes 30 to 45 minutes three times
a week and is recommended as a preventative treatment as well.
